Dit spel speelt zich af op straat, tussen mensen die er niets mee te maken hebben. Vier regels, en één die niet onderhandelbaar is.

Kort

Verkeer en mensen gaan voor. Een monument loopt niet weg.
Respecteer de plek. Klim niet op wat er staat, en laat niets achter.
Blijf van privéterrein af. Kom je er niet legaal, dan hoort dat monument niet bij jouw route.
Vervals je locatie niet. De kaart is van iedereen; een nagemaakte wandeling pakt een echte speler zijn kleur af.

De regel die niet onderhandelbaar is

Materiaal of gedrag dat kinderen seksueel uitbuit of in gevaar brengt, hoort hier niet. Nergens, in geen enkele vorm, met geen enkele uitleg erbij.

Wat wij doen zodra we het zien: het account gaat er dezelfde dag af, we bewaren wat nodig is voor de aangifte en verder niets, en we melden het bij de politie en bij het Expertisebureau Online Kindermisbruik (EOKM). Dat is geen afweging per geval — het gebeurt altijd.

Kom je zoiets tegen, in de app of eromheen? Meld het via Instellingen → Een zorg over veiligheid melden, of mail rechtstreeks naar safety@chessmeoutside.com. Dat adres komt bij de persoon die dit spel beheert; die is ook ons aanspreekpunt kindveiligheid.

Beschrijf wat je hebt gezien, en stuur het materiaal zelf niet mee. Een beschrijving is genoeg om ons te laten handelen, en doorsturen vergroot alleen de kring die het gezien heeft — ook onze mail loopt via een bezorger in de Verenigde Staten (zie het privacybeleid).

Loopt iemand acuut gevaar, bel dan eerst 112. Wij kunnen een account sluiten; de politie kan de rest.

Melden

Een puzzel die niet klopt, een monument dat er niet meer staat, iemand die zich misdraagt: mail support@chessmeoutside.com. Zet erbij waar en wanneer, dan kunnen we het terugvinden.

Wat er gebeurt als iemand zich er niet aan houdt

We kunnen een account schorsen. Dan kun je niet meer spelen; je eigen gegevens opvragen en je account verwijderen blijft wel gewoon werken.

Meer knoppen zijn er niet. Dit is een klein spel met een kleine bemanning, en we schrijven hier liever op wat we echt kunnen dan wat mooi klinkt.

Version 2026-09-08

This game happens on the street, among people who have nothing to do with it. Four rules, and one that is not negotiable.

The short version

Traffic and people come first. A monument is not going anywhere.
Respect the place. Do not climb on what is standing there, and leave nothing behind.
Stay off private property. If you cannot get there lawfully, that monument is not on your route.
Do not fake your location. The map belongs to everyone; a faked walk takes a real player's colour away.

The rule that is not negotiable

Material or behaviour that sexually exploits or endangers children does not belong here. Nowhere, in no form, with no explanation attached.

What we do the moment we see it: the account goes the same day, we keep only what a police report needs and nothing else, and we report it to the police and to the Dutch hotline for online child abuse (EOKM). That is not a judgement call each time — it happens every time.

If you come across anything like it, in the app or around it: Settings → Report a safety concern, or mail safety@chessmeoutside.com directly. That address reaches the person who runs this game; they are also our child-safety contact.

Describe what you saw, and do not attach the material itself. A description is enough for us to act on, and forwarding it only widens the circle of people who have seen it — our mail travels through a carrier in the United States too (see the privacy policy).

If someone is in immediate danger, call 112 first. We can close an account; the police can do the rest.

Reporting

A puzzle that is wrong, a monument that is no longer standing, someone behaving badly: mail support@chessmeoutside.com. Say where and when, so we can find it back.

What happens when someone breaks these

We can suspend an account. You then cannot play; requesting your own data and deleting your account keep working.

There are no other levers. This is a small game with a small crew, and we would rather write down what we can actually do than what sounds good.
