Zet een plek op de kaart

Mist de kaart een plek waar je naartoe zou lopen — een standbeeld, een brug, een park, een uitzichtpunt, een schaakclub of een buitenbord? Vul dit in en het komt erbij. Voorlopig alleen plekken in Nederland.

Je krijgt eerst een mail met een link; pas als je daarop drukt komt de inzending in de wachtrij. Wij mikken op een week om hem te beoordelen en een week om hem op de kaart te zetten. Elke inzending staat vanaf dat moment op de lijst, zonder jouw naam.

Graven en monumenten voor slachtoffers komen niet op de kaart: wat we overslaan, en waarom.

Wat anderen instuurden, en hoe lang het duurt: de wachtrij.

Put a place on the map

Is the map missing a place worth walking to — a statue, a bridge, a park, a viewpoint, a chess club or an outdoor board? Fill this in and it gets added. Places in the Netherlands only, for now.

You get an email with a link first; the submission joins the queue when you press it. We aim for a week to review and a week to put it on the map. From then on it sits on the public list, without your name.

Zoals hij op het bordje, de gevel of de site van de club staat, niet het adres. As it reads on the plaque, the building or the club's own site, not the address.

Voor een schaakclub verplicht: een pagina op de site van de club zelf waar dit speeladres op staat, of de vermelding in het KNSB-register. Voor andere plekken mag het leeg blijven; een Wikipedia-pagina, het monumentenregister of de site van de gemeente helpt ons wel op weg. Required for a chess club: a page on the club's own site naming this venue, or its entry in the KNSB register. Optional for any other place; a Wikipedia page, the heritage register or the town's site helps us along.


Wat het is als de soort dat niet zegt, de speelavond van een club, sinds wanneer het er staat. Mag leeg. What it is when the kind does not say, a club's playing night, how long it has stood there. May be empty.


Alleen om de inzending te bevestigen en je een vraag te kunnen stellen. Het komt nooit op de lijst en wordt gewist zodra de inzending is afgehandeld. Only to confirm the submission and to ask you a question. It never reaches the list and is erased once the submission is resolved.

Wat er van je inzending op de kaart komt — soort, naam, plaats en positie — hoort daarna bij de open monumentcatalogus en valt onder de open licentie die daarbij staat. Je toelichting, je link en je adres komen daar niet in en worden nergens gepubliceerd.

What reaches the map from your submission — kind, name, town and position — belongs to the open monument catalogue afterwards and carries the open licence stated there. Your note, your link and your address are not in it and are published nowhere.
